Picking Berries

Enjoy delicious berries grown on a 50 acre plot, and ready to be picked. Picking begins in the middle of July to the first week of August. For those just entering the picking plot, there is a $2 fee, as no one can walk by without having a taste of these delicious berries.

The Okotoks Family Resource Centre is designed to give back to the community by joining together with a variety of services. It is based on bringing families and individuals closer, while structuring a society then is healthy.

In addition, this centre allows better access to services within the community. In 2000, the Okotoks Family Resource Centre opened, and continues to serve all of Okotoks including Black Dimond, Turner Valley and the Municipal District of Foothills.

Offerings

It is OFRC goal to give assistance and design programs to help with parenting, child development, financial stress, family support, poverty, emotional stresses and mental health problems. There are a variety of programs designed to help you with daily life.

The D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club is a luxurious 18-hole course. This course is a short drive from south Calgary. There is a perfect mixture of tree-lined gullies, ridges, water and hills. There are numerous natural challenges that make the course unique.

The course is equipped with a pro shop, dining area, bar, banquet and meeting rooms and a snack bar. Staff are friendly and ready to serve you.

Booking

There are several ways you can book a tee time. However, booking for tee times begin four days in advance.

  • Online – booking begins at 7 am.
  • Phone – booking begins at 7:15 am.

Bookings can be made through the tournament coordinator anytime Monday through Friday, but only until 12:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. There is a maximum allowance

The Okotoks Theatre was once a place where residence gathered for worship, gain spiritual growth and celebrate with praise and music. Located on the edge of Elma Street and Centre Avenue, this structure is no longer utilized as a church. Although, it still provides a wealth of inspiration, as it houses the Rotary Performing Arts Centre.

Built in 1906, it was originally a Methodist Church. The structure only cost $5,100 to build, and become a combination church in 1917 when the Methodist and Presbyterian’s joined to gather to form the United Church.
